Ancestral Vision / Zhigoneshi, Bogotá, Colombia, 2011 – Current

Ancestral Vision is an exhibition created and developed by the Zhigoneshi Communication Center to present, through writing and photography, the ancestral thoughts on the territorial organization of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta in Northern Colombia. The communication center is composed of individuals from the three of the four indigenous groups known collectively as the Tayrona peoples; they are the Arhuaco, Kogi, and Wiwa. In Ancestral Vision, these indigenous communities have come together to inform the outside world about their natural, cultural territory and to establish links of alliance for its preservation.

We are working with the the Zhigoneshi Communication Center to bring their exhibit to schools all over Colombia.

Southern Topographics, Bogotá, Colombia, 2011 – Current

Southern Topographies: An Architectural Registry is an exhibition featuring Colombian artists of broad acclaim that utilize the visually transformative influence of photography to inspire visitors to participate in the physically and soulfully connective world of inhabitance.

Each artist in “Southern Topographies” presents their unique perspective on the presence of architecture as both a boundary and perforation of our concepts of personal and public space. They utilize their personal experience with space in combination with their artistic presentation to inform and engage the public.

This project is currently seeking funding for its realization and travel to various institutions in Colombia and the United States beginning in 2013. Please contact me personally if you have interest in providing support for this exhibition.
