declaration
Photography has given the world one incredible ideology:
Design. Our visual understanding, representation, and product have been determined
solely upon the happenstance of this world, a result of design, a creation of
ideas and retaliation from them. The world has been defined upon what we understand
as points, lines, and planes. Because of technology in the 20th Century, our
world has designated a system by which we live. This is a system of imagery
and/of words, and most of all, their correlation.
All of these photographs are found slides both from my
own family storage and from outside collections. I have specifically chosen
slides because they are one-of-a-kind objects in which their intention, historically,
is to be displayed either for a singular person or group.
