Fotocromatosis

Carolina Montejo
19 December, 2008 – 18 January, 2009

Great minds lead us through a world of social and political issues. But the greatest minds are those that are accompanied by a depthness of heart, a profundity. Carolina Montejo’s images reflect a profound understanding that feeling is as much a necessity as pragmatism. She lives within a photochromic world with color and light acting as a precursor to beauty.

Born and raised in Colombia, Montejo has been exposed to a colorful equatorial landscape. Her perspective on life has been reflective of such through symbolic images of dreamlike circumstances: a constrained body, an untouchable handkerchief, or a seemingly endless drain. Fortunately, she realizes that we all share the same unknown dreams and expects nothing more than for you to experience life through the color-stricken, heart-enthralled lens of her eye.
